Dancing Queen

posted Friday December 18th, 2009

gaga

This hardly does her justice, but here’s a piece I did about my mother this morning for the local NPR station in Phoenix.

Now you’ll understand, I hope, why in our house we currently attend The Church of Dance — even if it means I’m at a loss when it comes time to explain Hanukkah.

In this world, one must pick her battles and her belief systems.

  1. I heard your piece on NPR this morning. It was great. I had no idea gaga taught ballet!

  2. Why did you not tell me you were on NPR this morning? grrrr…ok off to listen online. Great pic!

  3. I worshiped at the Church of Baseball with my mother for years.

  4. Amy, You set the bar so very high as a professional, writer, commentator, but most importantly mother.
Your mom sets it even higher for me as a gramma. Thank you for the most meaningful tears after listening to that piece!
