yes to every word . .they get older, the transitions get tougher, we still get surprised, awed and overwhelmed by it all. I ‘ll buy you more matches and throw in more candles . . if you don’t need to burn them before you can save up for all the celebrations that are going to come your way . .for both those dear girls . .xx s

I hear you. Oh, man, do I hear you. Having a hell of a time finding a high school for Max. I am SO happy that you had a good experience with the special ed director and that things seem to be going yours and Sophie’s way. It’s always so nerve-wrecking to know whether the administrative winds will blow in your favor or not. #WIN!

Good luck!! My daughter made that transition 3 years ago – and she loves her HS and we love it. She is mainstreamed and accommodated in all her classes – taking driver’s ed this spring! I couldn’t imagine her roaming the halls of a 3000 student school building but she does it and even gets to classes on time.
