And oh yes, the pride feeling. I remember it well. I’m sure there were many times everyone “noticed” my haircut because it was horrific, but that is the beauty of childhood, that I never knew this.

Also, I love the image of Sophie being so excited she vibrates. That is so perfect.

PS. Can Sophie tutor Leo on the art of GETTING a haircut? Thanks.

Oh yes, we’ve been there! Sophie gave herself a little trim on the day after Christmas, two years ago. And when we got home from Supercuts she asked to do my hair and I handed her a brush and she requested scissors. We keep them under lock and key! My little sister once put her hair in pink sponge rollers then cut the rollers out. Whoops. Thank goodness for the Easter Bonnet, huh?

When I was not very much older than Sophie, just before Easter, I found a pair of scissors and decided to give myself a bang trim.

Yep. I had to wear a really big hat to Easter services. One that hid my entire forehead, which was totally bare of hair because my bangs were about a half inch long.

Feel fortunate that Supercuts was at least competent enough to leave Sophie with adorable bangs, and DON’T TELL HER THIS STORY!
