(I know, can you believe it?)

I remember seeing Love Actually when I was pregnant with Leo. I bawled like a baby. It was one of the clues that I might be pg-that’s how emotional I got (though to be fair that movie still tears me up even in an un-knocked up state).

Anyway, back to Elf. That is an interesting theory and it makes perfect sense and of course, I relate. It reminds me a little of that part in Expecting Adam when little Adam’s sisters are whining over how they didn’t like their Christmas gifts and Adam is running around the house doing cartwheels over the box of batteries he opened, he is so grateful and doesn’t realize the batteries are actually for a toy (that he has yet to open). The batteries go WITH the toy they are not THE gift.

We certainly should take a cue from our little “Elves,” shouldn’t we?
