Does Dopey have Down syndrome?

This is a question I’ve pondered before, and of course I’m reminded of it here at the Magic Kingdom., where every other geeky dad is wearing a tee shirt that says, “I’m Grumpy because you’re Dopey.”
I tried to talk Ray into the Tiki Room Hawaiian shirt, but he didn’t really seem that into it, so I think I’ll skip the $74 expenditure.
Ray insists Dopey does not have DS. He says there’s evidence of drawings by the Mesopotamians (who predate Snow White and friends by a lot) and those drawings actually depict features associated with DS, whereas Dopey doesn’t look like he has it at all. I say that’s just a matter of opinion. He’s got it.
Just imagine where Dopey would be today if he’d had early intervention services.
And yes, I’m punchy from 12 hours at Disneyland. Good night.

Well, my older daughter is convinced that Patrick on SpongeBob has Down syndrome.
My 7 year old daughter and my sister and her 8 year old daughter with Down Syndrome were watching Snow White and my daughter asked my sister the same thing. It never even entered our minds, but now we are curious too.
hilarious.
In a particularly dark moment, we discussed if “I’m with Stupid” t-shirts would be sort of ironically funny. Think I should wear one to my first meeting with the schools?
1. Ray’s right. Dopey’s cool. Remember that doofus looking guy who played the dueling banjo on the movie Deliverance? The one who looked like he was his own mother’s brother? Sorry, Dopey.
2. I’m very interested in that Tiki Room shirt. Ray has no class, apparently. I have a closed full of dozens of Aloha shirts. Helps to fix the state of mind. Men’s large, please. I’ll pay you back.
That whole cottage is some kind of group home, as far as I’m concerned.
