I love the headband in the photo. I’m at a luxury of saying I love hearing her say “I do it!”. I love her spunkiness and am sure I’m always reinforcing the wrong behavior but again, think I can get away with it. :) Did I tell you she showed me how she can walk down the stairs all by herself without holding on to anything…twice? I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention the first time so she went back up and did it again. Girl knows how to command an audience!

We’ve only gone to one birthday party this year (between both boys) and we’re kind of lucky – my oldest has his birthday in the summer and the middle one on Christmas vacation, so usually we miss the “big” parties and just have little ones instead.

I love parties too. Leo doesn’t get invited to that many either and I don’t know if it’s because people don’t have them or if it’s the other reason. Honestly I think people don’t have them that much, since all the parents seem to be quite friendly with Leo at daycare. Strangely, we invited all the kids from Leo’s preschool (mostly kids with Ds or some other “issue”) for Leo’s bday last year and out of eight kids, only one came (another one RSVPed yes but ended up being sick). And we’ve only been invited to one party from that school, period. It’s weird, do people who have kids with Ds not throw their kids parties? Do they not take them to parties? I can’t imagine it. I jump at any excuse to get out of the house on the weekend with Leo!
Anyway, looks like Sophie had a great time! And of course she looks adorable. I’m so envious of you–an outdoor party in February!
