Leaving a child alone in a hot car is a serious fear of mine too. I imagine sitting at my desk at work and gasping in horror at the realization that I’d forgot him. The funny thing is I don’t even have a baby.

Maybe we should coin a new word for this feeling. How about bakeababiephobia?

For the record, I don’t worry about forgetting Leah in the car. She is (and has always been) a non-stop talker. I can never forget she’s there. I do worry about being separated from her in crowds although I can’t think of a single time we were actually in a crowd.
